Announcement: Chinese Children Project - AoMi
And Call for Contributions-- Do a little for China --
-- Everybody is asked for contributions --
April 5th, 1996
We, 40 initiators and 9 electronics Chinese magazines, call for contributions to a book series for Chinese children. The name of the book series is "AoMi" ("Profound Mysteries"), which will be written and edited by us -- Chinese children abroad, and will be read by Chinese children at home. Therefore, we name this project the "Chinese Children project".Still remember how "The 100 Thousand Why's" influenced our generation? For a lot of us, the initial interest in science was induced by that book series. The purpose of the "Chinese Children Project" is to donate a similar book series of knowledge contents and high enjoyment to the next generation, and to promote the modernization progress of China.
We've been given very much by our own country. Now it's the time we pay a little back to her. Finding some time, and writing a few articles in your own field is possible and feasible. We hope everybody join us, and welcome all contributors, Chinese or foreigners.
We have tens of thousands of highly educated scholars in abroad. We have electronics network. All these help to collect and edit articles. We have much better facilities than the editors of "the 100 thousands' why" did. Now, it's the time we do something for the next generation of China.
So, please sit down in front of the computer, and start typing away. We ask for the contribution of each individual abroad, to help China, to help the Chinese children of the next generation.
Thank you.
